U14 Comets Black are MSSL/MAPS Fall Challenge Tournament Finalists
5 games, 3 shutouts, and 8-4 goal differential

The Comets went to a "welcome back high school players" tournament this past weekend. The team was excited to see the high school players back on the team and played exceptionally well. Over 2 days, the team played 5 games - 2 on Saturday and 3 on Sunday.

The Comets opened with a 2-1 win against South Jersey United and finished the day off with a 5-0 victory against Manhattan Chivas. Day 2 introduced a couple of physical teams for the Comets and the final result of the 3rd preliminary game, as well as the semi final match, was 0-0. The Comets beat Rye Celtics 4-2 in PKs (making all 4 shots) to advance to the finals.

The final match started wonderfully for the Comets who went up 1-0 and were inched away from sealing the victory but Highland Shooting Starz of NJ came out with the uppoer hand in the end.

The Comets displayed positive, skillful attacking soccer and proved, once again, they are a force to be reckoned with.

The U14 Comets Red team played very competitive games against the eventual runner up and winner at the Challenge Flight.

GO COMETS!!!
