New England Comets Premier Soccer Club: A Not-for-Profit Organization
The New England Comets Premier Soccer Club (NE Comets), which was officially granted league status in March by the Connecticut Junior Soccer Association (CJSA), was recently certified for not-for-profit status by the State of Connecticut. The designation will help the soccer club carry out its mission to foster, teach and advance the game of soccer in Connecticut’s youth. The club believes that developing highly-skilled soccer players, and competitive teams, should include families and children of all backgrounds.
Comets’ teams range from U9 to U18 and compete at the highest level in both Connecticut, Region 1, and nationally. The Comets also include the Mighty Mites training program for players 5-8 years old. Passion for the game of soccer is the driving force behind the Comets, whose coaches strive to instill in their athletes life-long values such as hard work, sportsmanship, teamwork, soccer excellence and competitive respect.
The New England Comets is a cohesive organization dedicated to providing a successful playing environment to help develop Connecticut ’s youth soccer players. Through our camps and clinics, the Comets bring a unique approach to soccer instruction. We offer skill-specific, sequential clinics that encompass a wide variety of game-related soccer topics that players can use both in their technical and tactical growth.
